Our Thursday evening events programme has been exceptionally expanded to coincide with IF - Milton Keynes International Festival. All events begin at 6.30pm and are free of charge with no booking required, unless otherwise specified.

THE THE THINGS IS (FOR 3)

Includes two new performances, one of which will feature Fanny Tourette, the whip cracker from Marseille and the other an 'a cappella' response to works on display, as well as a BBQ, drinks and live music.

Lost & Found at MK4U Festival
3-4 July, 2010, 1-8 pm

Lost & Found have curated the 'Create Zone' at MK4U Festival, including a film tent and a performance marquee for live bands, acoustic acts and poetry www.mk4u.org.

MK4U is an annual youth-led, two-day festival held in Campbell Park, central Milton Keynes. The festival is free and is supported by The Parks Trust, Milton Keynes Gallery, Milton Keynes Play Association, Stantonbury Campus, Pat Haig, Bob Adams and Moonlit Productions.

Music Challenge: Get Rhythmical!
London 2012 Open Weekend Event
24 July 2010, 12-3pm
Individual sessions: 12-1pm, 1-2pm, 2-3pm

As part of the London 2012 Open Weekend, Milton Keynes Gallery and Milton Keynes City Orchestra have joined forces to work with individuals, families and groups of all ages and abilities. Participants can explore sound, rhythm and movement, within the current exhibition which includes a fully functioning band kit. For more information call 01908 676900.

Family Evening
6 August, 5-7.30pm

A summer evening of art activities for children and adults, with food and drink available for all. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Art Trolley
Every Saturday, 11am - 1pm

These free drop-in art sessions for families are suitable for ages 4-12. Supervised by the education staff, you will find creative and enjoyable ways to explore the Gallery's displays together. Children must be accompanied by an adult.


For Visitors with Access Needs:

A Trail Through Inter-Action MK's History

Displayed in the Gallery's Project Space, this presentation, devised by artist Beth Webster, is organised by Inter-Action MK, an organisation that specialises in collaborations between artists and communities.

Join the Education Team for an informal tour of the 'THE THE THINGS IS (FOR 3)' exhibition, including British Sign Language interpretation and audio description of the art works discussed. No booking needed.

Milton Keynes Gallery’s Education Team are now welcoming proposals from creative individuals and groups, who wish to present new or existing work within the Project Space and are especially interested in ideas that engage with our exhibitions programme, our audiences and our position within the city of Milton Keynes.
