A State of Agreement is a newly commissioned film about the artist, Stephen Willats, and the ideas and concepts that have informed his work. The 30 minute film, directed by Charlotte Ginsborg, takes the form of a conversation between Stephen Willats and Dr Andrew Wilson, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Tate Britain and is shot both in the artist's studio and at sites in West London that have featured in some of his most important works. The screening of the film will be preceded by a short introductory talk by Dr Stephanie Willats.
A comprehensive exhibition of work by Stephen Willats’ was presented at Milton Keynes Gallery last summer (Person to Person, People to People 26 May – 8 July 2007).
